A dramatic 1950s shirtwaist-style party dress in crisp black taffeta, with a sculpted bodice and a full knife-pleated skirt. The yoke is finely pleated and gathered into a nipped midriff band. Large black buttons run down the front. The pointed collar and turned-back cuffs are trimmed with ivory sequined braid, which gives it a dressy, evening look. A small bow at the neck and pockets add to the silhouette. The skirt has a center back box pleat. It comes with its original black patent belt. In overall excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
