A glamorous late 50's dress by our favorite designer Peggy Hunt in a painterly yellow rose print that reads almost like an Impressionist canvas — lavish blooms in amber, gold, terracotta, and grey on an ivory ground. The silhouette is a fitted sheath, body-conscious through the waist and hips, with sheer shoulders that create an illusion neckline. The standout detail is the deeply ruffled off-shoulder flounce in the same print and illusion netting, trimmed with a narrow velvet ribbon at its gathered edge. Center back zipper and fully lined in cotton. 
Peggy Hunt was a Los Angeles-based designer known through the 1940s and 1950s for exactly this kind of illusion dress. In overall excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear!
