A slinky, bias-cut column gown built for pure old-Hollywood drama. The textured rayon crepe has a dry, crinkled hand that catches light without shine, giving the black a matte, almost smoky depth. The black reads more like a blue black in person. The bodice is cut close through the torso with dramatic dolman/batwing split sleeves that taper to a fitted wrist with covered buttons. The back is the showstopper: a deep keyhole cutout at the nape framed by a soft draped V, baring the spine down to the waist. The original belt cinches the waist and fastens with a curved rhinestone-set buckle in a deco wing motif. Skirt falls in a long, fluid line to the floor with a front slit for movement.
