Documented 1951 Carolyn Schnurer Sitting Duck Dress From Her "Flight to Japan" Collection / M
A B O U T
As seen in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum Of Art, comes our very own 1951 "Sitting Duck" embroidered cotton dress by designer Carolyn Schnurer. From her "Flight to Japan" collection, this dress pays homage to Japanese artist Insho Domoto who drew a pair of ducks when she asked him to sign her diary.
This iconic dress is rendered in orange plain weave cotton and features gold metallic thread embroidered ducks. The dress is a classic fit and flare with fitted waist, cross body bodice and front pockets. Zips up the side with original metal zipper. In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
A rare opportunity to own a wearable work of art.
