An exceptional 1990's avant-garde two-piece set by Ann Demeulemeester, exemplifying her signature blend of romanticism and precision tailoring. Rendered in a richly textured floral jacquard in nuanced tones of charcoal, taupe, and muted brown, the ensemble pairs a sharply cut cropped jacket—featuring a sculptural notched collar and asymmetric button closure—with a long, fluid skirt that falls in a clean, elongated line. The back reveals a striking cutaway detail beneath the jacket, introducing an element of tension and understated sensuality. The jacket is lined in deep navy blue satin. The skirt zips up the side with original invisible zipper. Both pieces are in excellent condition. 

Designer context: Ann Demeulemeester is a seminal Belgian designer and a member of the influential Antwerp Six, known for redefining avant-garde fashion from the late 1980s onward. Her work is celebrated for its poetic, often androgynous sensibility, impeccable tailoring, and references to art, literature, and music.
