A fab example of 1950s eyelet work done with genuine graphic ambition, this sleeveless party dress is constructed from black cotton in an uncommonly sophisticated pattern: interlocking circles edged in black velveteen-trimmed cutwork, with open triangle eyelets at each junction that reveal the nude satin lining beneath. The effect reads bold and geometric rather than sweet — closer to textile art than typical 1950s party fare. The silhouette is classically of its moment: jewel neckline, cap sleeves, nipped waist with matching self-fabric belt, and a full circular skirt with deep sweep, supported by a built-in tulle petticoat. V-back neckline adds an unexpected note of evening elegance. Nude satin lining throughout; side metal zipper closure. In overall excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
