Glamorous 1950's Emma Domb Cotton Candy Evening Gown / SM
đź‘‹ A B O U T
A impossibly glamorous late 50’s formal gown in cotton candy pink nylon chiffon, cut with the effortless femininity that made Emma Domb one of California’s most beloved eveningwear designers of the 1950s.Â
The bodice is softly ruched across the front, drawing the chiffon into graceful diagonal folds that meet at center front in a delicate gathered point. The wide, gently curved neckline is framed by cap sleeves densely worked in scrolling beadwork — iridescent pink sequins, dark bugle beads, and pearl cabochons forming an elaborate foliate pattern that provides the dress’s sole decorative statement. The skirt falls in soft, unstructured layers to full length, the chiffon moving with extraordinary lightness. The back is clean and quietly elegant, with a center zip and continued ruching across the upper bodice. Perfect for a prom, wedding or glamorous occasion. In overall excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.Â
