Exquisite early 1940's emerald green evening gown in silk velvet and rayon faille. This iconic gown epitomizes Old Hollywood glamour and is a rare piece from a bygone era.  Featuring a gorgeous fitted slightly dropped waist silk velvet bodice with cap sleeves, a high cowl neckline, a deep keyhole  back with covered button closure and dramatic full rounded square cut skirt. The skirt is massive, allowing maximum movement  Zips up the side with original metal talon zipper. In overall excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.

Label: none remaining but appears to have been professionally made. 
Material: silk velvet bodice, faille 
Condition:  overall excellent, freshly cleaned and ready to wear. Minor signs of wear typical of age. A few small crushed areas on the velvet, only noticed under close inspection. Two small stains in the skirt that hide well in the folds and are only seen upon close inspection. Wears and presents beautifully.
