Sublime Late 1940's Black Crepe Cocktail Dress With Chantilly Lace / Small
š A B O U T
Devastatingly sexy rayon crepe cocktail dress in the best late 1940s mode ā one-shouldered, with a gathered strap that drapes across the bust and a ruched side bow that pulls the skirt into a slim, body-conscious silhouette. The standout detail is the scalloped lace inset across the dĆ©colletage: black Chantilly lace over a warm sienna lining that reads almost flesh-toned, giving the bodice an unexpectedly provocative depth. The skirt falls straight to just below the knee, sleek and pencil-narrow. Center back zipper closure. The bodice is boned and lined in black silk taffeta. The dress is exceptionally well made and tailored to perfection. A true masterpiece of the era. In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.Ā
