A show-stopping 1950s cocktail dress from Fred Perlberg’s Dance Originals label — the New York house famous for its full-skirted party and dance dresses. Crisp black taffeta with a fitted, boned sweetheart bodice and halter strap that goes behind the neck. The waist nips in tight before releasing into a dramatically full circle skirt, banded with swirling soutache cord scrollwork and cutout velvet ribbon insertion — a striking play of matte and sheen against the taffeta. Zips up the side with original metal zipper. In overall excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
