A stunning example of mid-century American party dressing, this full-skirted cotton dress is cut from Waverly’s named “Garden Flowers” bonded fabric — a perennial chintz-inspired print rendered here in powder blue, blush pink, and sage green on a crisp white ground. Bouquets are strategically placed to cascade across the fitted bodice and repeat throughout the voluminous skirt, creating the illusion of a garden in motion. The wide bateau neckline and cap sleeves are infinitely flattering, while the back zipper closure and nipped waist speak to the silhouette of the era.  Waverly’s polished cotton — known for its subtle sheen — gives the print exceptional clarity and the skirt a satisfying weight and swing. Originally sold at the legendary Julius Garfinkel Co. in Washington DC. In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
