Fabulous late 1950's cotton barkcloth sundress by Calyspo. The crisp white background is printed with a charming pattern of emerald brushstroke leaves and oversized purple plums. The construction is classic 1950's: a cross-draped sweetheart bodice with wide shoulder straps, sharply fitted waist, elastic shirred sides and a voluminous pleated full skirt with excellent sweep. Center back metal zip. The barkcloth has the characteristic slubbed texture of the weave, and the fabric retains fabulous body and drape. In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
