A stunning evening ensemble in grey silk from the 2000's. The floor-length gown and cropped jacket are constructed entirely from silver-grey soutache braid, worked into a dense, sculptural floral and foliate pattern with open needle-run connecting bars — a labor-intensive technique that reads as lace from a distance but reveals its three-dimensional cord construction up close. Every edge is finished with black velvet ribbon threaded through the braid work, with small velvet bows punctuating the hem vents and neckline; the jacket closes with a single button. The gown is bias-cut with a slim silver silk lining; the jacket is cropped and long-sleeved with velvet trim at cuffs and hem. The palette — silver, black velvet, rhinestone — is unabashedly glamorous and elegant. In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
