Navy blue hand-knit wool dress in the finest wartime tradition — practical, precise, and quietly nautical. The short cap sleeves are trimmed with a run of navy buttons along the shoulder and outer sleeve seam, a detail that reads as both functional and decidedly maritime. The silhouette is clean and unfussy: rounded crew neck, fitted bodice, and a gently flared, pleated skirt. Interior finishing is notably careful, with a grosgrain ribbon along the back of the buttons, the mark of a skilled hand knitter who knew her craft. I am offering this one and another equally lovely piece by the same person. In excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
