Elegant 1950's Misty Rose Silver Brocade Evening Gown By Bernard Freres / M
đź‘‹ A B O U T
A 1950's evening gown of considerable elegance, labeled Bernard Frères, Paris / London — a Franco-British house active through the mid-century couture trade. The fabric is a lustrous brocade woven with an allover tossed rose motif in charcoal, champagne, and black, ultra sophisticated and chic. The silhouette is classically 1950s: square-cut halter neckline, sharply defined natural waist, and a full-length A-line skirt with generous box pleats that give the gown real movement and volume. The bodice is clean and architectural, relying entirely on the textile’s richness rather than surface embellishment. Interior construction shows a black rayon lining to the bodice and a zipper up the back — restrained and well-executed.  In excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.Â
