A confection in the softest ballet pink, this 1950s strapless dress pairs a fitted lace bodice with a full silk skirt built for twirling. Scalloped floral lace bands the bust and waist over a smooth satin foundation, while the silk skirt falls into crisp knife pleats for that classic mid-century bell shape — with the bonus of side seam pockets. Original side metal zip closure.

The label was in collaboration with Bess Myerson, the 1945 Miss America winner. She went on to become a familiar face on 1950s and ’60s television and later served as a New York City commissioner , lending her name and glamour to this junior sportswear line decades before her career took her into city government. 

In very good condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
