An iconic Zandra Rhodes dress, hand made from silk chiffon, printed with gilt medallions and an ornate paisley-flame border at the hem reminiscent of Alhambra in Spain. The fitted bodice is overlaid with dense metallic floral lace, its scalloped waist giving way to the flowing skirt below. Three-quarter sleeves in sheer black-and-gold lace echo the bodice’s opulence, while a V-neckline front and back keeps the silhouette from feeling heavy. Center back zip closure. Made by hand in England, sold through Bergdorf Goodman — a hallmark of Rhodes’s 1980s output, when her Fortuny-influenced prints and richly textured surfaces defined an era of maximalist eveningwear. In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
