1940s Black Rayon Crepe Cocktail Dress with Tie-Back Peplum

An elegant piece of 1940s evening wear, built on drama through impeccable construction rather than embellishment. Butterfly cap sleeves soften the shoulder while shirring at the side seams cinches the waist and releases into a draped peplum, finished with a self-tie sash that knots at the back into a bow with long, pointed streamers falling to the hem. Side metal zipper closure, with the back finished in fabric-covered buttons. A-line skirt falls to mid-calf. Incredibly comfortable and flattering on. The perfect LBD. In overall excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
