The fabric alone tells the story here — a swirling iris print in cobalt, emerald, and olive green that calls to mind Van Gogh’s Irises, with the same urgent brushstroke energy and jewel-toned intensity that defined his late work at Saint-Rémy. This late 1950s party dress, sold through Bergdorf Goodman’s Miss Bergdorf department, is constructed in luxurious silk. 
The bodice is fitted with a deep V-neckline, short sleeves, and ruched detailing at center front that draws in to a defined natural waist before releasing into a full, voluminous skirt with deep box pleats. The back closes with a center zipper and mirrors the front’s sweeping scoop. Fully lined interior, with netting under the skirt.
Miss Bergdorf was Bergdorf’s bridge-to-better sportswear and occasion label, catering to a younger, fashion-forward clientele — not quite couture, but a significant step above department store ready-to-wear. In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
