A jaunty ivory felt hat in the Tyrolean, or "Robin Hood," style that was popular in the 1940s. The crown rises to a soft peak, and the brim sweeps into a pointed visor over the brow and turns up in a rolled cuff at the back. A long, curling feather in white with a brown-barred tip sweeps up from the side. Its quill is secured with a fringed felt tab, and small downy plumes sit at its base. Inside, it has a black grosgrain band and a woven Bullock's Pasadena label. Bullock's was the elegant Southern California department store that opened its Pasadena location in 1947.
