A beautifully tailored black velvet cocktail dress from Oscar de la Renta's boutique line, with the Eastern-inspired opulence he did so well in the late 1960s. A mandarin collar, nipped waist, long sleeves, and a gently flared A-line skirt are all outlined in looped gold metallic braid. The braid runs along the collar, center front, hem, and the two oversized patch pockets. The dress zips from below the waist to collar. Plush, deep-black velvet makes the gold glow. In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
