A masterpiece of mid-century white-on-white embroidery, this Herbert Sondheim cocktail dress is built on crisp white piqué and adorned with sweeping diagonal branches of broderie anglaise appliqué — scallop-edged cutwork leaves cascading from shoulder to hem in an asymmetric composition that animates the full-skirted silhouette. The cap sleeves carry their own delicate leafwork, and the back is immaculately plain, allowing the structured fit-and-flare cut to speak for itself. Condition is excellent. Zips up the side with original metal zipper. Freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
