Showstopping 1950's Black & White Cotton OP ART Day Dress With Tags / M
đź‘‹ A B O U T
A showstopping piece of mid-century Americana, this deadstock 1950s cotton day dress retains its original Fuller Fabrics “Spotlight” hang tag — a crease-resistant cotton produced in partnership with J.P. Stevens & Co. The graphic print is a masterclass in postwar pattern design: a bold engineered print that transitions from fine dash-stripe at the bodice to an abstracted dot-and-oval motif at the waist, resolving into oversized white polka dots against jet black at the hem. The effect is almost optical — pure 1950s graphic energy. Cut in the quintessential silhouette of the decade, with a spread collar, center-front button placket with rhinestone buttons, side-ruched waist, and a full pleated skirt with spectacular sweep. Never worn. In excellent condition, clean and ready to wear.Â
