A stunning 1950's cocktail dress in black silk with a Chantilly-style lace yoke and cap sleeves, finished with a scalloped eyelash edge. The bodice and skirt panels are embroidered with looping black cord in scrolling floral motifs and bows, building to a dense border at the hem. The fitted bodice and sweeping full skirt are cut in the classic New Look silhouette. Bonwit Teller label, with the design attributed to Harvey Berin, whose demi-couture work was retailed by the finest stores of the era. Zips up the back with original metal zipper. In excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.

Label: Bonwit Teller, there is also a small tag that says "All Silk", which was ofter used on Harvey Berin dresses.

 Please note: our garments are usually clipped in the back to fit the dress form, this causes the hem to look uneven at times.
