A striking example of 1950s Hawaiian resort glamour, this Betty Higgins Originals ensemble pairs a structured strapless dress with a matching silk organza stole. The boned, sweetheart-neckline bodice is fashioned from copper-toned silk satin with a folded band at the bust and a self-fabric belt defining the waist. The full circle skirt, also in silk satin, is overlayed with silk organza hand printed with large-scale gold chrysanthemum-like blooms — the kind of sophisticated textile design that set Hawaiian resort wear apart from mere novelty. The sheer stole, cut from the same printed organza, carries the floral motif across its length and drapes with the effortless movement the fabric demands. The color palette — burnt sienna, copper, and old gold — reads as luxurious summer warmth rather than the typical tropical palette, demonstrating the more sophisticated side of the Hawaiian market. The interior bodice is boned and backed in cool cotton. Original metal zipper up the back. In excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
