Schumacher Fur Co., Portland, Oregon – 1940s Silver Persian Lamb Swing Coat

Curly, lustrous silver-gray Persian lamb in an early postwar swing silhouette: a rounded shawl-style collar, a single carved button closure, deep turned-back fur cuffs, and a full, flaring skirt that falls in soft pleats. A slim silver belt is included for cinching the waist, but the coat swings beautifully without it. The pelts are supple and richly patterned, with tight curls shading from charcoal to pale silver. The pale gray satin lining is woven with delicate floral cornucopia bouquets, finished with decorative cross-stitch at the facing edges and a pale blue ribbon hanging loop. The woven label reads "Quality Furs, Schumacher Fur Co., Portland, Ore."

In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
