A true early-1930s evening dress in gleaming liquid black silk satin, cut to skim the body and flare softly below the hip. The V-neckline is neatly finished, and the shoulders have gentle gathers that give the three-quarter sleeves a subtle puff. The waist is the star of the construction. Shaped satin panels sweep into a pointed center yoke, and an attached sash with a tailored bow sits just below it. The sleeves end in wide, flared cuffs of cream floral crochet lace, a pretty contrast against the black. The lace has a lovely handmade look. The mid-calf skirt moves beautifully, and there are no zippers or snaps. It slips on over the head, as many dresses of the period did. In pristine condition, appears to have never been worn.

Condition:  excellent, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear. Minor signs of wear typical of age. Wears and presents beautifully. No flaws found whatsoever. Appears to have never been worn.
