A show-stopping Bob Mackie inspired 1980s evening gown by Lillie Rubin in black silk, hand-beaded from neckline to hem. A cascading leaf motif of gunmetal and silver sequins and bugle beads runs down the center front. Fine lines of silver bugle beads radiate from it across the body, ruched at the waist, and meet in a chevron down the center back. The V neckline is framed with scalloped, leaf-shaped beadwork. The sheer silk chiffon sleeves are striped with diagonal bead lines and finish in beaded cuffs over softly padded shoulders. The back dips into a deep scoop trimmed with beaded leaves. The slim column skirt has a front slit and a scalloped, beaded hem. In overall excellent condition, clean and ready to wear.
