A rare 1920's flapper-era cloche, hand-worked in fine golden straw, giving the crown a shimmering, cobweb-fine texture. A wide band of dimensional velvet flowers — soft caramel-toned velvet petals with shimmering centers — wraps the front and side of the crown, while a wide grosgrain ribbon band lines the interior edge. The back is finished with a glossy brown satin bow at the nape, a hallmark of 1920s close-fitting cloche construction meant to sit snugly over bobbed or finger-waved hair.  In overall excellent condition, beautifully preserved for the past century.

Condition: excellent overall, minor signs of wear typical of age. A couple of the flower beaded centers are missing, only noticed upon close inspection. Remarkably well preserved and wearable for being 100 years old. Clean and ready to wear.
