Absolutely exquisite 1950's party dress by one of my all time favorite designer labels.  Harvey Berin cut this bridal-ready party dress from a remarkable cotton batiste — pin-tucked in fine vertical rows across the entire ground — and inset it with vertical bands of floral lace in a climbing rose pattern. The hem border delivers a stunning finale: a bold geometric Greek key in broderie anglaise cutwork topped with a final floral lace band, giving the skirt the kind of considered, architectural finish you’d expect from a couture commission.
A blush pink silk organza underlayer glows through the batiste, suffusing the ivory with the most delicate warmth — flattering, romantic, and unexpected. The silhouette is a dream for a bride who wants full skirt drama without the weight: nipped waist, sweeping circle skirt, square neckline with wide lace-trimmed straps. Side metal zipper closure.
This is a dress for the bride who doesn’t want white, doesn’t want a gown, but absolutely wants something special. Civil ceremony, garden wedding, rehearsal dinner — it works for all of it, and it will photograph beautifully. In very good condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.

Condition: very good overall, freshly cleaned and ready to wear. Minor signs of wear typical of age.  The under layer of silk organza is starting to fray along the interior bust- not at all visible when worn. The dress has been expertly hemmed from the original length and could be let down if need be. The dress appears darker in pictures due to low lighting conditions. 

All of our pieces are thoroughly inspected and repaired by our in house professional seamstress prior to shipping to ensure your garment is in ready to wear condition upon arrival.
