Lilli Ann Black Wool Swing Coat with Mink-Trimmed Cape Sleeves, c. late 1950s-early 1960s

A dramatic and beautifully cut black wool swing coat from one of San Francisco's most celebrated makers. Raglan sleeves flare into wide, cape-like three-quarter bells, finished with deep cuffs of glossy dark mahogany mink, layered over a slim fitted sleeve.  A softly rolled stand-away collar fastens with a hook and eye tab at the neck, and three large black  buttons down a clean front. Patch pockets at the sides. It falls in a graceful A-line from the shoulder, so it's roomy enough to wear over a full-skirted dress and simple enough to let the fur sleeves be the star. Fully lined in black satin and in excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
