Cut from luminous ivory silk shantung, the fabric’s characteristic slubbed texture catches the light with that unmistakable shimmer that separates true silk from every imitation. The silhouette is pure late-1960s confidence: double-breasted with a sharply tailored notched lapel, fitted through the bodice, and releasing into a sweeping A-line skirt that falls toward the floor with effortless drama.
The buttons alone are worth the price of admission — large mother-of-pearl discs set in rhinestone-encrusted gold-tone rings, functioning as both closure and statement jewelry. Discreet side seam pockets preserve the coat’s unbroken sculptural lines, while princess-line construction achieves a waist-defining fit with quiet precision. The interior clinches it: fully lined in wool-backed gold silk for warmth and comfort, with delicate lace trim finishing the front facing edges — a whisper of femininity inside an otherwise architectural shell.
