Jr. Theme Red Chiffon Cocktail Dress, Late 1950s

A siren-red chiffon party dress with a portrait-style draped neckline that falls into a soft cowl at the shoulders, cut wide off the shoulder for a flattering, feminine line. The bodice gathers into a ruched waistband, then blooms into a full, gently gathered skirt in sheer chiffon over an opaque lining — giving the skirt that signature weightless, floaty movement chiffon is prized for. Fully lined throughout, with a V-back neckline echoing the front drape and the original zipper up the center back. Labeled Jr. Theme, a well-regarded late-’50s American label known for romantic party and cocktail dresses in this vein.
