An ultra sophisticated 1940s evening dress in black rayon crepe, cut with the sharp tailoring of the decade. The bodice has an asymmetrical V neckline and softly padded shoulders. The waist is nipped, and a sculpted hip yoke ends in a sweeping decorative swag at the side. The long sleeves close at the wrist with fabric-covered button-and-loop cuffs, and the skirt falls in a graceful A-line to mid-calf. The original metal zipper runs up the side and at the back of the neck. The brooch is shown for styling only and is not included. In excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
