Elegant 1950's New Look Era Nettie Rosenstein Grey Silk Organza Shirtwaist Dress / SM
A B O U T
Elegant 1950's grey silk organza shirtwaist style dress by renowned New York designer Nettie Rosenstein. Hailed in 1937 by Life magazine as one of the most important designers in the US. Her dresses were wildly popular and she and sold for up to $500 at the time. I am always thrilled when I find one of her pieces.
This dress is crafted from a fine somewhat iridescent shade of grey silk organza that flashes deep purple depending on the light. Designed with the classic shirtwaist bodice with covered buttons up the front and three quarter sleeves. The dress boasts an incredibly constructed structured petticoat to keep the skirt full. The quality and craftsmanship is NEXT NEVEL. Freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
