A luxurious full-length robe in aqua silk brocade woven with gold chrysanthemum motifs, made in Japan during the 1950s–60s for the American souvenir and resort market. The mandarin collar and traditional frog closures down the center front are beautifully hand-knotted in matching aqua silk cord, while deep patch pockets and long straight sleeves add practical elegance. The luminous ground fabric shifts between turquoise and seafoam depending on the light, with the gold brocade pattern adding rich texture throughout. Fully lined interior and high slits up the side for easy movement. In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
