This exquisite 1920s Japanese silk kimono in a soft goldenrod yellow, delicately embroidered with pink flowers, grey foliage and butterflies is a rare and extraordinary piece. Made for the tourist trade in Japan around the 20's/30's. The luxurious fabric and intricate design showcase the expert craftsmanship and tradition of Japanese textile art. Featuring a thick rolled hem, ivory silk lining and dramatic tassels on the sleeves. In overall very good wearable condition, especially for age. Can be worn or hung for display as a work of art.

Material:  silk 

Condition: very good overall with signs of wear typical of age and use. Some small holes in the silk noticed upon close inspection. Some faint spots and wear along the bottom of the hem. See close up pictures for further details. Wears and presents beautifully. Priced with condition in mind. 

Please note: my camera lens is damaged and casts some faint spots on my lighter images than can appear like tiny stains.
