A fabulous example of Lilli Ann’s mastery of the New Look silhouette, this fitted jacket showcases the label’s signature sculptural tailoring — a nipped waist, pronounced peplum, and dramatic shoulder line that epitomize the era’s return to hourglass femininity. The wool gabardine is printed in a rare, hand-drawn-style abstract floral scribble motif in charcoal on taupe, a whimsical, almost calligraphic print that feels closer to modern art than conventional florals of the period. Fully lined in black, with the Lilli Ann satin label reading “an original from Lilli Ann of San Francisco,” accompanied by a “Fabric of France” import tag confirming the imported gabardine. Three fabric-covered buttons close the front; flapped hip pockets and a curved peplum hem complete the tailored, va-va-voom silhouette Lilli Ann was known for. In overall excellent condition.
