A brilliant cherry red  jersey cocktail dress by Anne Fogarty, documented in a 1957 fashion photograph featuring model Dolores Hawkins. Fogarty’s signature touch is everywhere: the deep V-neck with softly draped, crossover bodice panels, the gathered  underbust  drawstring band with a bow at center back, and the dramatically full, pleated skirt that falls to mid-calf. The stretch jersey drapes with easy fluidity, a practical luxury that defined Fogarty’s appeal — high-fashion silhouette without the stiffness of structured formalwear. The interior bodice is lined in chiffon. Zips up the back with original metal zipper. In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
