A dramatically cut swing coat in Forstmann's rich brown, rust, and gold windowpane plaid wool — the kind of substantial, high-grade wool this mill was known for through the 1940s. The full swing silhouette flares from the shoulders with dramatic volume, gathered into soft pleats at the front yoke, and finished with oversized envelope-flap patch pockets that echo the coat's dramatic proportions. A notched, wide-spread collar frames the neckline, closed with a hidden button at the side (shown styled here with a vintage gold leaf clip, not original to the piece). Fully lined in grey rayon crepe with shoulder straps allowing you to wear it as a cape. In excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
