A shocking! hot pink 1950s cocktail dress by Alix of Miami, built in a lustrous silk satin with a full circle skirt supported by a built in petticoat. The sweetheart neckline dips into a seductive V that shows off the shoulders, edged by thick straps. The bodice front carries an elaborate hand-applied ornament of pearl beading, cut steel-style bugle beadwork, and clustered silk ribbon rosettes worked into a scrolling floral motif — a sheer overlay effect where the beading sits directly on the pink ground. Fitted princess seaming through the torso gives way to box pleats at the natural waist, releasing into a dramatically full skirt. Center back metal zipper closure; fully lined in matching pink. In overall excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
