As decadent as it is mysterious, this fabulous black velvet opera coat combines elements of the 1950's and the 1920's. The velvet exterior is pure 50's with an elegant swing silhouette, shawl collar and pointed sleeves. The interior is completely lined in antique metallic gold lame' from the 1920's or earlier. So what I think we have is a coat custom made in the 50's using antique materials to create something extra special, and you know how much I love a glamorous reveal! Fitted in the shoulders and flaring outward to the hem. So stunning on and in person, I only wish it fit me!

This coat fits like a small to medium based on shoulder measurement. 

Bust: up to 40" / shoulder seam: 15"/ sleeve inseams: 14"

Material: velvet, gold lame lining
Condition:  very good with signs of wear typical of age. The velvet has warmed towards the hem of the coat. The gold lame' hem is fraying a bit inside. A few small dings and wear to the velvet. Wears and presents beautifully but with signs of age. 

All of our pieces are thoroughly inspected and repaired by our in house professional seamstress prior to shipping to ensure your garment is in ready to wear condition upon arrival. We ship our items out on Thursdays. Please allow extra time for wedding dresses and large orders.
