Gorgeous 1950's Black & White Silk Organza Evening Gown By Nanty / Medium
🏷 A B O U T
Nanty was a high end fashion house located in New York that specialized in making high quality adaptations of couture pieces from Paris. Dior, Castillo-Lanvin, Balmain, Norman Hartnell and Jean Desses were just a few of the designers that Nanty produced copies of. I wish I knew which designer this particular gown was a reproduction of, the previous owner thought it was Balmain but isn't sure. Either way, it is absolutely breathtaking. Constructed from layers of silk organza and featuring dramatic eyelet floral cut outs upon a light background. The bodice has boning and couture details. The waist has a grosgrain waist stay and the skirt is full and pleated. In overall excellent condition, with minor signs of wear typical of age. Freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
