Exquisite antique possibly 20's era HUGE silk embroidered shawl made in Canton. Known often as Manila shawls these hand embroidered works of art were made popular in Latin America, the Philippines and Spain during the Colonial era. This shawl is the color of French vanilla and the embroidery features shades of lavender, coral, spearmint, marigold and pink. Just as pretty as can be. 

 Embroidered on both sides this piece depicts a beautiful floral motif with trails of ombre wisteria. In excellent condition. Clean and ready to wear or display. An heirloom piece worth passing down through generations.

The shawl is slightly rectangular and measures 56"X52" not including the long fringe. Folded in half like a triangle it measures over 80" across.

Condition: Excellent, the colors are bright and unfaded. Some yellowing to some areas of the fringe. Overall excellent for age.
