Rare 1940's black rayon crepe cocktail dress by Benham Originals. Let me just say I never find 40's dresses like this anymore in such pristine condition. I was gobsmacked when I found it! Featuring strong padded shoulders, a beautifully gathered bodice and scoop neckline, and a classic 40's split peplum. Decorated with jewel tone sequins. Zips up the side and back with original metal zippers. For those of you who want a longer skirt there is ample seam allowance to let it down a couple of inches.
