Rare 1950's couture dress by Italian designer and founder of Gattinoni Atelier. Fernanda Gattinoni's designs were worn by Jackie Kennedy, Eva Peron, Princess Margaret and an assortment of foreign dignitaries. She designed costumes for actresses such as Audrey Hepburn, Ava Gardner and Elizabeth Taylor. Her pieces are rare and sought after, many are in museums. This is a rare opportunity to own one of her dresses.
About the dress! 1950's dark blue linen cocktail dress with dropped waist and full gathered hips with lace applique'. The skirt is fitted on the interior and is lined in blue taffeta. Zips up the back with original metal zipper, in flawless condition. Freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
