A breathtaking 1930s bias-cut silk devoré velvet gown in deep sapphire blue, complete with its original matching cape—a rare and collectible set. The bias cut creates that iconic liquid ’30s silhouette, skimming the figure before falling into a softly flared, floor-length skirt. Sheer silk chiffon serves as the base for the lush velvet leaf motif, giving the gown beautiful depth and movement.

The gown features a dramatic V-back and its original velvet belt with a self-covered round buckle, perfectly cinching the waist. The lightweight matching cape drapes effortlessly over the shoulders. Opens at the side with original hand-sewn snaps for easy getting into. 

A stunning, museum-worthy ensemble ideal for formal events, holiday galas, or collectors of exceptional early evening wear. In overall excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
