A romantic exemplar of mid-century bridal couture, this 1950s ballet-length wedding dress by Priscilla of Boston captures the era’s signature balance of structure and softness. The fitted bodice is sculpted in lustrous ivory satin and tulle, overlaid at the neckline with a sheer illusion tulle yoke that melts into an off-the-shoulder silhouette—an elegant framing device beloved in postwar bridal design. Dimensional floral lace appliqués bloom across the neckline and drift lightly onto the skirt, their raised, hand-finished petals lending depth and couture refinement.

The full, mid-calf skirt is buoyed by layers of diaphanous tulle over a fully lined ivory slipper-satin foundation, creating the airy, buoyant movement associated with 1950s ballet-length gowns while maintaining a smooth, luxurious interior finish. The back mirrors the front’s delicacy with a softly scooped line and discreet closure, preserving the gown’s clean, uninterrupted line.
