A striking example of early 1960s American couture refinement, this silk organza cocktail dress was designed by Bill Blass for Maurice Rentner, the esteemed New York label known for its impeccably constructed society fashions.

Rendered in luminous rose-pink silk organza, the dress is exquisitely printed with a dramatic shadow-like botanical motif in black, creating the effect of layered foliage drifting across the surface. The sleeveless bodice is cut with a refined bateau neckline and sculpted darts, flowing into a gently defined high waist and softly gathered skirt that holds its architectural shape with airy lightness. The semi-sheer organza overlay reveals subtle depth and movement, while the interior rayon crepe lining ensures opacity and structure.

The back mirrors the front’s elegant simplicity with a clean jewel neckline and concealed  side zipper closure, maintaining the uninterrupted continuity of the botanical print.
