A fabulous example of late 1960s Parisian design, this charcoal gray wool dress by Nina Ricci embodies the house’s signature balance of sculptural elegance and understated femininity. Crafted in a fine, mid-weight wool knit, the silhouette is sleek and architectural—contoured through the bodice with a softly curved, empire-inspired seam that frames the bust before falling in a long, fluid line below the knee. 

The high funnel neckline and turned-back cuffs lend a mod, space-age sophistication characteristic of Ricci’s designs during Gérard Pipart’s tenure as head designer (beginning in 1963). Functional yet elegant details—such as the angled ribbed-wool pockets and covered side buttons at the hem—enhance the streamlined, couture-level finish. The dress fastens up the back with a hidden zipper and is partially lined in silky brown acetate for comfort and structure. In overall excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
